Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jan 16, 2010 5:41 pm Hi guys.....this may have been discussed somewhere before at some stage but I thought I would highlight this option. We have just ordered for our little reno'd home some slimline aluminium blinds for our wet areas...toilets, bathroom and kitchen. All online...type in your measurments under the blind you want and they get made 10mm shorter each way to allow for any slight discrepency. Then they arrive to your door within 7 days free of charge. Very cool and so easy to install. Well I say that now hopefully its all as easy as I say.....we will soon see anyway http://www.abcexpress.com.au/store.htm Re: Blinds Online and free to your door......... 2Jan 20, 2010 1:13 pm I'm on the search for blinds and abc express is one of the companies I am considering. Please provide an update as to the installation! I'd be doing it myself and want someone to tell me that it's easy before I go and order. I've just started writing a blog Re: Blinds Online and free to your door......... 4Feb 10, 2010 3:51 pm I've purchased Holland blinds from www.iseekblinds.com.au for both myself, and clients... they've always been spot on! Plus, they'll send you out as many fabric samples as you like for free (I've got one of almost every colour hehe). They use a courier to ship the blinds (TNT here in NSW, but not sure if they use them Australia wide - delivery charge regardless of the size of your order is $30) Re: Blinds Online and free to your door......... 5Feb 10, 2010 4:08 pm IkonInteriors I've purchased Holland blinds from http://www.iseekblinds.com.au for both myself, and clients... they've always been spot on! Is their quality good? Re: Blinds Online and free to your door......... 6Feb 10, 2010 6:28 pm Quote: We're considering using them also. Is their quality good? Hi Rex, I cant fault the quality, although you do get what you pay for in terms of fabric. Go on to their site and organise some samples from each of the fabric ranges to see which you like best. I really like the Palm Beach range as it's really thick proper fabric (not plastic). It's also not that much more expensive than the basic range. Re: Blinds Online and free to your door......... 8Mar 28, 2010 9:40 pm kylo HI IKONINTERIORS i have been looking at this company also, what about the other fabrics and their quality? are the dearer ones worth it? have you used 'binds onthe net'? kylo Hey Kylo, Nope I've only used iseekblinds (in terms on online manufactures). And I definitely think it's worth upgrading the fabric - you don't need to go top of the line, but certainly upgrade from the 'basic' range. The basic fabrics are often a very plastic-like material, if you upgrade you can get proper fabric with a special "block-out" coating on the back. Get whichever company your interested in to send you some samples from each range and compare for yourself. You have a couple of options then when choosing your blind colour. You could go with a neutral/white that simply blends in with the wall colour like the picture below: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or you can go with something contrasting, and make a feature out of the blinds: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ If your interior colour selections are very light (whites, beige etc) then I would go for a contrasting blind colour to give the room some added depth.
