Hmmm - how can they have all that stuff on energy efficiency and insulation and leave out windows?

Windows = hole in the wall...

Did they? I do agree on the windows for energy.

Funny how some people don’t take that into consideration when building.

I have had clients who have put the most amazing windows in, full length in a 15, 16 foot high ceiling. Then want me to find the window dressing for them that won’t cost them the earth……not possible!!!!

The window would have already cost the earth... on site glazing and 10mm glass!!! Very heavvvvyyyyy on the pocket and on your arms.

Do you think the venetians internal to the double glazing are worthwhile?

Not to sure about the double glazing, I haven’t seen many homes that use it.

The local pub has it but for sound proofing reasons. Glass is glass, and it will always attract the heat or cold threw it. I think for winter at least there should be something other than the glass to keep the warmth in.

Be it Venetians, verticals or curtains.
