Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Sep 08, 2009 10:04 am Just wondering if anyone changed their colour choices for their own facades once they'd seen their neighbours? Either to not look the same or to not clash? We have been considering the Townhouse facade using a red colour brick like 'Argyle' for botom half with top half rendered in a creamy/gold colour like Hebel 'Raw Umber', Colorbond 'Loft' roof and gutters and Colorbond 'Headland' garage door. (here's an approximate picture using Envisage, not the exact facade but the colours are pretty much right). The other new houses in our end of the court are both rendered in dark greys and browns in a much more contemporary look. Can't decide if it would be too similar, or not matter at all.....am I overthinking things?? Perhaps So did you change your mind depending on your neighbours facades? Your render looks more gold than cream and loft looks nothing like blue. Unless the bricks are exactly the same, it will look different. Re: Did your neighbours facade effect your choice of colours?? 3Sep 09, 2009 12:59 am Hi, We have the Loft roof and just wanted to point out that the Loft depicted in the Envisage pic (an obvious dark brown) is nothing like what it really looks like is in real life. The aubergine (purple) tones in the Loft (which can vary greatly according to light) is very predominate, l've not seen my roof as chocolate looking very often. Though my DH hardly sees the purple and mainly sees the chocolate...go figure?? The gutters however doesn't seem to vary much, either chocolate or a chocolate-purple. Have a look at this thread on the Loft: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14893&p=283663&hilit=colorbond+loft#p283663 And feel free to check out my thread for a stack more pics of Loft Hope it helps I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34269 it depends on the natural ground level, if they excavated their boundary wall needed to be built as a retaining wall.
