Yes the builder went *** up but insurance paid for the floors to be redone. The most expensive wooden floors you will ever find (all up 30K believe it or not). I'll post pics of them tonight as we are FINALLY moving back in .. no more leaking pipes please God I beg you . And btw we changed the finish from oil based to water based poly and it looks BETTER. Ahh I just love CAPS LOCK p.s. I'm getting the most expensive bottle of bubbly my DH will let me purchase and cracking it open in the bathtub tonight. Matt finish seems MUCH easier to live with in terms of disguising dirt, hair, dust and footprints. The gloss finish is glamorous and has a lovely sheen but is not so easy to live with - especially with a lot of light in the house. Dogs + kids + cat .. forget it . Drove me insane. now I can concentrate on DD's birthday and then recovering our new chair. I'm on the lookout for natural print textiles so if anyone comes across some nice sites could you PM me?
