Do places like The reject shop and The warehouse sell them and are they any good? I want to buy some prints and do some painted canvases for the kids rooms Thanks. Re: Cheap blank canvases and frames? 4Jul 22, 2009 9:44 am Reject shop is great. They normally stock two different types - the stretched canvas on a frame and then canvas stretched over a cardboard backing. That is what I used when I was testing paint samples for our interior - they were dirt cheap too. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Cheap blank canvases and frames? 5Jul 22, 2009 7:48 pm Reject Shop and Sams Warehouse as mentioned above, and Bunnings sells canvases too. I think they were reasonably priced too. Thanks, I wouldn't have thought to look in Bunnings for them, despite the fact that we are in there nearly every week Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. I buy all my canvases for my artwork from Riot Art. They are more expensive than $2 shops, but they are far better quality. They are the 'Eraldo di Paolo' range. Not sure what brand The Reject Shop or Sam's Warehouse stocks. I did buy several from 'Art Shed' in Moorabbin (Warrigul Rd), and the brand of the canvas was called 'Mont Marte'. I found the edges to be stretched and folded fairly roughly and sorting through the pile I couldn't find one that wasn't damaged or stretched poorly. It all depends what sort of quality you want and how much you are wanting to pay for it! For my artwork, mostly it is produced for gifts, and I'd prefer it not to be crappy! I'm honestly not happy with the canvas from the Mont Marte range and am doing them again (all 3) on the Eraldo di Paolo ones, and these are just for my Daughters bedroom. For frames, I can't go past the RIBBA range from Ikea. There are several different colours and many sizes and not too expensive. But again, it depends what you are looking for and how much you are prepared to spend! Good luck! I'd love to see the finished product! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Well, I actually found some finished cavases online at a good price so I bought those instead. But the canvas idea isn't totally out of the picture (no pun intended ) as I do have a business venture in mind for later in the year Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Re: Cheap blank canvases and frames? 12Jul 27, 2009 11:09 pm Hels, I just found this website. http://www.mooo.com.au/shop_mooo/personalised-canvas-art/ My boys have oddly spelt names, as does my sister. I noticed in one of her pictures she had a puzzle spelt out of her sons name. Apparantly they got it from this site. OMG I love it! I've ordered puzzles for the boys, and can't wait to work out what canvas to get them!!
