Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jul 03, 2009 12:18 pm Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone has some good paint colour tips for door frames and doors. I am not able to colour match to other brands and I am trying to keep it in the warm white - beige... Any colour recommendations would be a big help. If I can't decide I am thinking of just choosing a wall paint and doing 50% . Thanks Re: Solver paint colour opinions please. 2Jul 03, 2009 6:31 pm Mine are the same as my walls but in gloss 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Looks good and you can change your mind about the walls any time. Accidentally painted a creamy white on doorframes once with a grey-brown white wall and it looked hooooorrrrible Re: Solver paint colour opinions please. 5Jul 15, 2009 11:23 pm We're having Solver Intermezzo, the colour consultant at the paint shop aid that it is probably the most neutral cream out of all of the creams we could choose from, as in no pink or yellow tinges. We're going 100% on walls and 200% for arch's and skirts...can't remember about the doors though Re: Solver paint colour opinions please. 6Jul 30, 2009 12:26 pm Speaking of Solver paint, I'm also down to choosing 2 colours. Purely because one colour to match the living area room (Karndean Sycamore) and the other for our rooms, carpet colour Bon Accord - Deveron (Dark-ish chocolate, almost plum-ish). I was thinking of Solver Seagull for living area and Solver smoked Pearl for the carpeted rooms, with maybe Solver Monastery as Feature wall in the rooms?? Appreaciate anyone's opinion on Solver Seagull, does it have a 'green-ish' tint to it?? We are having Japanese sliding doors (Tasmanian Oak) in the living area, and i saw walls with very light green tint go well with light wood Jap doors... Sample brochures are hard to match, would probably have to make a sample pot.. Also, for newly built homes, does anyone know if you do the floor treatment and lay flooring before or after you paint your walls? I heard floor treatment (prior to laying) can get really messy/dirty... ********************************************************** Building our first Japanese-theme inspired home and loving every minute of the experience! Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7171 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3275 Thank you. That is really helpful.
