(keeping in mind I live in the middle of the desert, where things like craft shops dont exist!) Preferably on line. Any ideas? There are plenty of online craft stores, but you'd have to trawl through their catalogues to find exactly what you want. This one has some great designs: http://www.stencilgallery.com.au/catalogue/contemporary9.htm It would be easy to make your own though, if you want something really individual. Find a photo or drawing online or in a book - the simpler, the better, so something like a fern frond would work well. Photocopy it, enlarging if need be, then cut out carefully. Sharp craft scissors and/or a craft knife would be best. Place your stencil over the canvas - if the design has very fine detail, then sticking it down with a temporary adhesive would be wise. This one is similar to what I use: http://www.seniorart.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=6815 I'd use a paint roller or sponge, rather than spray paint, but whatever you find easiest.... You could paint the background first if you like, or leave the natural canvas or fabric colour showing through. Leave it till the paint is tacky but not dry before peeling off the stencil. Even simpler - if you want a botanical theme, use real leaves. Large fern fronds would be ideal. It might take a bit of experimenting to get the technique right, but you'd have something unique. Hello! I'm new to this forum and in need of some advice. Should I put an art piece on the blank wall and if so what should I put? Appreciate your help! 😃 0 867 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5197 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16159 |
