I honestly can't stand those fluro's, and I flatly refuse to have them in my new chandelier! I did have to chase around a bit as many places just don't have them anymore. I stocked up, and will grab some more tomorrow...just have to find somewhere to store them!!...and I'm not telling where I got the 100W bayonettes from , I need more!! Kek: My hall table from our old place will be dwarfed in the new place too, but it will go next to the garage entry door so we have somewhere to dump bags and stuff! A dark chunky hall table would look great in your place! Ah, we are soul sisters then, Stormy .... I hate fluoros too! People don't get what it is I dislike about them, but I bet your photographic eye sees what I see... that yukky green tinge. Cold light - brrr! I have relented a little - I found some "warm white" ones that are OK as long as they're behind a warmer-coloured shade. We have them in the garage....and I can stand them in the laundry once the globes in there need replacing. I guess. I actually saw a hall table I loved just before we moved in. Should have bought it then, can't find one now. Damn! Guys, I have no idea what that light thing in the WIR is. I never noticed it before, either. Re: Thinking ahead.... 24May 18, 2009 9:32 pm I really hate fluro's too! The light is sooooooo cold and reminds me of hospitals! URGH! As Kek says, the warm ones are Ok'ish behind a nice light shade 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' It's only a couple of years old at most.. but my coffee tables have dents in it and my dining chairs need to either be very well cleaned or re-upholstered. Of course I wouldn't mind a nice dresser for the master bedroom. Contracted completion date 24 July 2010. What's today's date????? isn't a garage level with the rest of the house a given? pretty sure they 'came around' long time ago. if you have a flat block, the garage is usually level with the rest… 1 17525 |
