Browse Forums Finishing Touch Re: Kids space 21Jun 08, 2009 4:16 pm A few places I've visited lately trying to find the right type of play equipment for my daughter. Trouble is they are very pricey and I want to get her something that will last until she is a tween. From the US ... Bunnings in Adelaide are carrying these playsets - starting price is around 1.8K .... http://www.rainbowplay.com/index.php/swing-sets/ Or these .. pricey but DDs face lit up like a Xmas tree: http://www.megatoy.com.au/freestanding.html Other's I'm considering http://www.peppertowngc.com.au/playgrou ... ounds.html Just ordered some fabulous Lyra pencils off this site. I originally found them in Melbourne and am now ordering them straight from the site. They last very well, are great to hold, environmentally friendly and best of all ... lovely to colour in with http://www.beegreen.com.au/ http://www.thatsmytoy.com.au/home/Welcome.html Trying to find Djeco textas at a decent price ... will likely purchase from on of these - all great sites: http://www.mywoodentoys.com.au/index.php?cPath=28 http://www.peanutgallery.com.au/ http://shop.dragonflytoys.com.au/details/2566771.html Founds this dress-up site recently .. might have to buy the wedding dress for DD who wants a white fluffy thing for her birthday! http://www.costumebox.com.au/Girls-Stor ... c-288.html http://www.moochiemoo.com/store/browse/product/156.html Now for a decision on the play equipment or tent or both...... I think I paid around $80 per collage. edit: we ended up getting the Olivia teepee from Monkey and Wellington. Sigh ... glad thats over. DD absolutely adores it. We've set it up in the family room and all her toys are in it so at least I'm not treading on Marbellous pieces or bratz boots/hairbrushes anymore Re: Kids space 28Jun 29, 2009 4:12 pm Just in case anyone is still interested in the teepees, I saw some at the Flemington markets on the weekend here in Melbourne. They had some set up, they looked gorgeous and I thought the price was pretty reasonable, from $115 (you could pay extra for nicer fabric but the $115 ones were lovely anyway). Got a pic of your DD's one for us yet DeeElle? Would love to see it! They were purchased from Paradigm Lighting and Living at Norwood. Re: Kids space 36Aug 08, 2009 2:25 am Found a great rug from Etsy for DD for her tent. Now hunting for desks. Have looked at the Treehouse brand - Tashi range Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also white desk and overheads from Ikea similar to our study. I'll keep you up to date on the outcome as we are getting her a notebook so she'll need a desk to put it on Current fave is the long line desk from Ikea with overhead shelves. Re: Kids space 37Aug 09, 2009 1:10 pm Found a great shabby chic desk for $350 but DD said it looked "old" and scratched and she wanted a new one . Who said giving kids options was a good idea. So we found her another one on sale - 30% off original price .. I hope it lasts until her tweens because it was double the price of the other one. It has a small hutch as well as the desk, and should fit the room beautifully. I'll post a pic next week when it arrives. Similar to this in size but in light pink with hutch wrapping to the left. Perfect size for her room ... I hope. Might have to try sketch up before it comes home. http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj229/DeeElle66/106-1.jpg Re: Kids space 38Nov 10, 2009 3:36 am I'm not the topic starter but I must thank you for your suggestions. These are great. I think I'll buy one. Re: Kids space 39Jun 15, 2012 9:51 pm Once I made one play tents for my 5 years old kid with materials. That was of a dome shape. 4.5 feet tall, covering 25 square feet area, and the perimeter of the dome was 14 feet. I was about to made an accident with a metal rod. Then I changed that and put a wood plank there. Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
