Even up close they resemble wooden ones and stuck up metres away on a house I really don't think anyone would have a clue they weren't the real thing.
While I'd like to believe that in my new place all maintenance will be done regularly and with glee I know it's not going to happen. PVC (UV protected) shutters will not warp, change colour, need painting or rot away. At most perhaps a spray with a hose every few years. Inside the house it's a different matter but outside when its just about aesthetics pretend is ok by me.
