Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Oct 03, 2008 9:22 pm Hi Paula and everybody
I know you have been so generous with your time a few months ago, but I was wondering if you could take a look at my boy’s wardrobe setup. They are going to be custom made by a friend of ours so I would like to also know what colour melamine/wood (don’t even know what you call the stuff) to use. Keep in mind that their wardrobe doors will be green Here are the measurements Bed 1 Length 4 metres Depth approx 0.8 m Door set up...Facing the wardrobes, Single door on the Left, followed by 2 sets of double doors. Five doors in Total Bed 2 and 3 Length 3.4metres Door setup...2 sets of double doors. What I need... Clothes hanging, mainly for shirts etc Drawers for socks and jocks Shelves for pants and jumpers Separate side of wardrobes devoted to storing toys in particular bed 2 and 3...so big shelves that are separate to the clothing department. Bed 3 is for my baby so maybe different sort of shelving I hope this is enough information Paula? Your plans are going straight to the design guy, give or take a few inches. I have absolutely no idea about this type of thing so I will leave it with the professional Thank you so much Mrs B Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 2Oct 04, 2008 6:18 pm Paula?????........
Still in holiday mode no doubt. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 4Oct 05, 2008 10:28 am Hi Paula...
Just been back from the house and had a really good think about bed 3...my baby's room. His TV will sit inside the wardrobe ( all wring is there already) so when he wants to watch it, we open the 2 Wardrobe doors on the Left hand side (left when looking at the robes) His Tv location will be the second door in. If you could factor this into the plans that would be great. So really, all his clothes should be on the right hand side ...doors 3 and 4 I hope I have explained this OK and havent mucked up your plans too much. The other wardrobes are as written. Do you want me to take a photo and post it tonight so you can see what I mean? Thanks Paula...you are wonderful Mrs B Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 5Oct 06, 2008 7:25 am Hi Mrs B,
How big is the TV and at what height is all the wiring for it (what height do you want the TV)? Very lucky boys to have such big robes! Should have it for you this afternoon, I have had a busy weekend. Paula Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 6Oct 06, 2008 12:53 pm Hi Paula
Tv height should be be about 1.4metres...I will have adjustable shelving?...I suppose the most important height is his DVD player below for future use. TV will be one of those little flat screens...not sure on size, this is Mr B's idea for the boys. Totally over the top but this was 'his thing' Mrs B Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 9Oct 06, 2008 3:38 pm Southies I'm so looking forward to your post Paula - you've got great ideas. Mrs B Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 11Oct 07, 2008 6:13 pm Just to keep everyone updated, I have received my wardrobe plans from Paula
I am meeting with the owner of the factory on Thursday to discuss what I need. We are also doing the WIP, study and a variety of other built in pieces. They are going to design the plans in 3D, send it off overseas then all of it should arrive in a cargo box to my house. Will post the plans when they are done. I have no connections to anything believe me but..... a friend of ours owns a factory overseas and has just started making kichens and cabinets, users all the hafele hardware. So...we are giving it a 'shot' and wait and see what the quote comes in is like. There is no way we would have even considered going down this road as it is not a priority to us and is very expensive. I am going to see how much it is then take it from there. Mrs B Re: For our Queen of Wardrobe Design...Paula 16Oct 07, 2008 8:12 pm Ok everyone, the drawings I have done have not scaned too well - I have posted them to Mrs B, so short of redoing them I cant show you pics.
If I get any spare time I will redo them - but all my time seems to be taken up on here I'm so behind on my work....need to give H1 a rest for a week to catch up.............Mmm I dont think that will happen Paula Normally you use builders bog. Polyurethane painting is basically the same principle as car panel beating and painting. All the prep work is the same and so is the… 3 3038 Probably a not bad thing to mention particle board should in case anyone else reading this got the two confused. 6 4856 Thank you so much for the effort. We will use it to talk with builder. We also had idea of building duplex instead and seeking suggest ions. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=106744 11 13769 |
