I say "home" not "house" because that's what it really seems like. It's built to suit who you are as a family and I bet you can imagine your future "teenagers" playing basketball out the front already. The thing that I really must ask you about is your spashback. Is it one of your photos? It really is spectacular and I'm just so impressed!!! Can you tell me how/when/where/why you got it done? Get the picture... so to speak... ? I'm sitting here trying to imagine which of my photos would look great done as a splashback... haha Maybe a special photographic expedition needs to be planned... Me personally could do without a bath all together but he loves it - especially after all the hard work he is currently doing LOL. Since my last post we have completed the office - new desk, the wall units I picked up for a steal as well as all the usual pretty new accessories one needs. The glass fencing along the deck has been done for the last 2mths now we are finishing the black fencing for the remaining sides. Because we are in a 1 in 100 flood zone we have to build up the land to match the pool and house levels. Hence the packer and bobcat in the background - they were my 6yr wedding anniversary present - are you all jealous? hahahaha. The fort which has a footprint of 10m x 10m will be installed behind it. We are also working out a design for a freestanding pergola - pool house thingy to be built behind the pool. Then all the remaining land will be flattened for the childrens' play area. Fingers crossed it will all be done in time for my 40th in October - if not then everyone will be kept out in our front yard (which is more then likely where the food and drinks will be served anyway). Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Study done - tick; Pool and backyard - in progress. 54Apr 13, 2010 3:38 pm ... but I won't let you off the hook that easily Love the curtains! Spotlight?? And where did you find the wall unit for the study? My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Study done - tick; Pool and backyard - in progress. 55Apr 13, 2010 3:45 pm Study curtains were from Curtain Wonderland - have never liked red but since being in this home I love the red for the study and the red touches in Master Almost3's bedroom. Study units were an absolute bargain. They were from an auction when NIB Health Funds closed their main offices to relocate across the train lines in Newcastle. They had offices and offices full of these Rosewood units as well as desks and other things. From memory they cost us less then $400 and take up nearly the whole wall to the ceiling - the only catch was DH and one of our employees had to dismantle them and carry them down two flights of stairs - I wasn't popular that day. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Study done - tick; Pool and backyard - in progress. 56Apr 13, 2010 9:42 pm I literally just said 'oh my goodness' out loud.. with only my dog to hear . Your house is amazing!! I love your outdoor area. And all the neighbouring yards look great too. What a nice setting. Awesome bargain on the study cabinets. I’m just in the process of replacing 2 stud walls that have been severely damaged by termites and am planning to use h2 blue pine.
