A few final touches

I'm hunting for fabric for my antique chair to finish off the family room.

Here's a pic of the chair I'd like to recover. The colour of the cushion suits the room very well but anything brighter (turquoise) looks out of place. I bought some pillows home over the weekend to try in the room and the dark teal and grey, blue, silver coloured pillows worked the best.

I'd like to put a patterned fabric on the back of the chair and plain fabric on the front and seat. Might sound odd but I like a quirky take on things.

I like the stripes in option 1 and 2 and the pattern in option 3. Not together of course.
I think 1 needs something more of a blue/silver for the seating rather than that grey. At least the way it looks on my monitor. In option 2 the plain blue seems too strong.

good luck with the project . i'm sure it will look fabulous when completed. i'm really envious that you can recover chairs. i've no idea on how to do it myself though my MIL is a bit of an expert from memory..

I like the last option

..... I think it would tie in with the kitchen colours. But it may not be strong enough for the space

.... maybe option 1..... or maybe 2.

All the options are lovely!

Love options 1 and 4 - but I agree with Kexkez, the plain grey might be better in a darker shade? I think the patterned fabric will just make the silver-grey look wishy-washy.

It must be the day for fabric...I've been scouring fabric websites, looking for blind/curtain fabric and I'm about to go crazy.

It needs to be a dark teal blue like the pillow otherwise it looks a bit too bright for the room.

ooh that third option in your last post is really special, but I still think I'd go with the second option from your last post. I think I'd just do somethng different to stripes because I've seen so many with stripes.

Wow I love them all Dy, can't decide which one I like best, you've done so well seeing all those lovely fabrics. All I know is I want to see the end result!!

Also wanted to say that I love your DH's idea of the padded bedhead using your pelmet material. Maybe you could let him do it once he changes the feature wall?? :th:

Dee used one of the table top/shelving? lengths and bought the legs separately from memory.
