Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 May 17, 2015 9:58 pm Hi Everyone, This is my 1950's Asbestos Fibro Cottage. It is pretty much fully complete now and have started painting the exterior. Due to the inability to sand the flaking paint as it is asbestos fibro and lead paint I am wanting to use Dulux Fine Texture on the walls to hide the poor finish. The roof has been sprayed in Surfmist, and with the left over Semi Gloss Exterior acrylic i have started painting the Gutter, fascia and eaves Colorbond Surfmist. I am wanting to paint the walls now with Dulux Malay Grey in Fine Texture. Trims i plan to be Lexicon Quarter Gloss. In the first photo the darkest grey beside the door is Malay Grey. I am having second thoughts about this colour scheme and am wanting someones opinion. Is this going to look alright or am i completely off track? Tim Re: Exterior Paint Scheme advice needed for 1950's fibro 2May 24, 2015 8:33 pm Still not sure about colours. I am thinking now that maybe I painted the Gutters/fascia/eaves in the wrong colour. But anyhow here are some picture i took early this morning of the third sample pot Stepney which is a shade lighter then the Malay Grey. It is the highest colour on the wall.
