Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jan 27, 2015 12:51 pm Hi We are in the very early stages - still waiting for plans to be finalised by the builder as we've made a few changes - but we like to be organised so trying to settle on a few of the main colours etc we are building the Rawson Balmoral are are pretty happy with the colour scheme at the display centre at Kellyville -as shown here: http://www.rawsonhomes.net.au/homes/balmoral/facades The only concern we have is the dark window frames - we will be getting plantation shutters preferrably in white - to keep a lighter scheme inside and to avoid heat... Do you think white window frames would work?? or any other suggestions .....we are very confused! Re: Window frames colour dilemma 3Jan 28, 2015 2:21 pm We have dark (Monument) frames and are planning on having plantation shutters on some windows. I don't think it will matter on the inside because the architrave and shutters will cover the frame. Not sure yet how it will look from the outside but I think it will be ok. It's lighter but not completely white. Colour selection is tricky.. it's so personal and subjective.. I personally hate the bricks on the house you linked but you clearly love them.. that's the problem with asking other opinions.. everyone has one but their not your opinion Paddington 29 @ Blue Horizon Estate (Lot 105, Wattleridge Crescent, North Kellyville) Our Build Progress Blog: http://light487.wordpress.com/ For your reference Performance Labels: Window assemblies in housing, except timber windows, must be labelled so the label can be seen when it is in situ.
