I have a few questions about painting an old weatherboard home.
Some of our weatherboards were extremely damaged and we had them replaced. There are still lots that have definitely seen better days, but to my untrained eye, they don't look like they need to come off altogether. They do need a good clean however, and some have holes in them (e.g. where the previous homeowner nailed up a handrail that we didn't want to keep).
We won't be ready to paint the exteriors for another two-three months.
Will professional painters be able to properly clean the exterior of the house and patch up damaged spots or is that something we need to arrange separately? When I do start gathering quotes, are there any specific questions I should ask?
If anyone has gone through this before and has any DOs and DON'Ts, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks everyone.
