that is to say, if you have had work done, and you were happy with the quality and price, why not give them a shout-out here what better way to thank them than give them more business? Re: Suggest a Forum 3Jan 10, 2006 9:53 am Johnny,
Thanks for your suggestion. You'll now find a new forum, Recommend a business, where happy customers can plug their home building and renovation providers. Surely you'll have have one or two to recommend to get this new forum under way. ![]() Re: Suggest a Forum 4Jan 10, 2006 10:02 am will do, I have 1 at least...as the work progresses there will be more
Can i propose some rules for this sub forum? All new threads must have the state and type of contractor in the subject line eg [NSW] Concreter [VIC] Painter and sparky This should help sort things out a bit also, This sub forum should not be used to defame or criticise poor workmanship or disputes with contractors Is a sticky worth while? Re: Suggest a Forum 5Jan 10, 2006 10:24 am Johnny,
Thanks for your input. Please see 'Recommendations' forum for Recommendations Guideline. Re: Suggest a Forum 9Jan 30, 2006 3:58 pm lol...i should have looked at your nickname before i replied

Welcome to Homeone's forum, and thank you kindly for your new forum recommendation. Please find herein a link to the Building A New Houseforum. This new forum is designed with the aim of collecting valuable information in assisting with building a new house. Although we welcome such information, we do advise restricting business names from the public forum where negative feedback is concerned. Of course, personal messages are free to be utilised at your own discretion - and within reason. Re: Suggest a Forum 12Mar 16, 2007 5:05 pm Suggesting a home theatre forum - many people now want to include them in their home. Topics could cover anything from soundproofing to wiring to room size/design etc...
What does everyone think?? Re: Suggest a Forum 13Apr 21, 2007 10:15 pm Suggestion:
A forum all about healthy living. Indoor air quality is a recognised important health issue, and the World Health Organisation has rated it the 5th greatest health issue over recent years (last time I heard the statistics). Briefly, the average person spends possibly 80% of their time inside an artificial environment (homes and buildings) and the the air we breath is often far from pure. It is usually heavily loaded with a cocktail of chemicals and allergens, and is at least 10 times more polluted than outdoor air. Asthma is a major health crisis with 1 in 4 children suffering. Since many people frequenting this forum are in the midst of building new homes or renovating, they SHOULD be aware of the risks associated with exposing themselves to high levels of gases and chemicals from new materials, paints, etc. So, I feel a forum dealing with ways to minimise these hazards and maintain a healthy living environment would deserve a place on this forum! Suggestion for an new forum Eco Friendly Forum Covering Water Saving, Thermal Efficiency, Natural Lighting, and Food Gardens to name a few. Life is not sustainable for 1,000's of years in the way the world is thinking at present. Steve Re: Suggest a Forum 18Sep 26, 2007 12:01 am Hey Homeone, I know that previously people have requested a forum where they could recommend a particular business in each state. Is this thread no longer available?
I thought of a sourcing directory that homeone users could add to and ultimately refer to when they need to source a particular service or item. Like a furnishings outlet store in Eastern Melbourne or a person for exposed aggregate driveways. Maybe people could post a picture of what they purchased or had done as well that would probably help. Recommendations only. maybe that store or service could earn stars by the amount of good feedback they recieve or the no of people they service. That way someone could tell how good they are - sort of similar to the stars that we recieve based on the no. of posts we write? Love to hear your feedback on this one. Thanks Re: Suggest a Forum 20Sep 28, 2007 12:34 pm I know we have a, "New Home Finace" forum but what about a new one along the lines of, "Financial planning". Whether it be increasing your wealth by shares or property, or even a property investor forum.
Who knows we some of us could pool our combined wealth/equity together in a trust name and go bannanas on the property market. Any thoughts??
