I understand that forum members' confidentiality is important.
As things are, members can disclose as much or little information as they like about themselves, and I have no prob with that.
But, it would be very helpful if members were required to fill in LOCATION as a mandatory field in their profiles. My reason is, there very often is a question or topic discussed that may be region specific. I often within the context of such discussions look for where a poster is from, usually to find ___________?
In some cases, they ask where is a service or tradey. What's the point, if we don't know where they are from, (and often they don't think to say)!
I think this would help to make the forum more user friendly if everyone had their location listed. If they were paranoid about privacy or whatever, noone would be the wiser if they put a bogus location, but they might get a bum-steer if they want advice, and that would be their problem.

No problems Ash, i wanted to raise this question a while ago, but didn't want to push it along with the Avatar issue....
For all members who are interested, it would be nice to see your State / area shown underneath your username.
If you are interested in doing this, it can be maintained via the Profile Page under Location. At least your state would be great to see???....It might help when other members are trying to offer assistance.
This request is by no means mandatory, but it would be nice to get a feeling of where everyone is from.

Ash, i'll see what i can do for new memberships to have the field as mandatory perhaps, but for the existing members, it is not something that i can flick a switch on....the member has to update that field themselves for it to show....
