Have seen this before on another site and it was due to the adds linking to some dubious sites. Seems as if H1 has done the same. So might need to watch that a little bit. Re: H1 new layout? 22Sep 22, 2010 9:08 am How about some bunnings or tradelink ads, like specials or something Re: H1 new layout? 23Sep 22, 2010 1:09 pm Ever since these ads have been on here, I keep getting an error saying the operation has been aborted. Don't know if this is my computer or like AJW was saying but its concerning as it never used to do it before Re: H1 new layout? 24Sep 22, 2010 1:34 pm [quote="thirsty"]Ever since these ads have been on here, I keep getting an error saying the operation has been aborted. Don't know if this is my computer or like AJW was saying but its concerning as it never used to do it before /quote] Same here, only I didn't notice that the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" messages coincided with the appearance of the ads, but now that you've said it ... BTW, I thought that ads would be removed - but nothing's changed! I might eventually even start actually looking at them (due to some strange wiring in my brain, I never even look at internet ads ) My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: H1 new layout? 26Sep 22, 2010 1:55 pm Yeah, same problem here too! Have trouble loading the forum, or particular posts And I never take notice of internet ad's. Ever. Took me a while to realise why the layout had changed as I just did not notice the ad's down the side. Re: H1 new layout? 27Sep 22, 2010 6:30 pm Im not sure what has happened now, but some error came up when I was trying to post and I cancelled it and then I have lost the ads.....which is great but now I cant put any smileys in my posts or quote anyone in my posts. I dont know whats happened. Re: H1 new layout? 29Sep 22, 2010 6:44 pm thirsty Im glad Im not the only one. It comes up with operation aborted and then cuts out like the webpage is experiencing problems. Then if I go back the screen will be there. Very annoying Which browser (incl. version no.) are you using? It would be very silly and unprofessional for homeone (or let alone any business) to run Trojan's on it's server, therefore we simply DON'T. If you've clicked on an Ad which takes you to a 'funny' site, please advise so we can have Google block the ad from appearing again. Re: H1 new layout? 31Sep 22, 2010 6:48 pm Izzehz and thirsty, we notice you're running multple memberships. Please advise which of these you'd like deleted? Re: H1 new layout? 32Sep 22, 2010 9:43 pm I dont know what trojans are tbh but I dont have 2 memberships. I use work comp and home comp and now i cant get into the one at work. This one is home. Dont know whats happened now but cant even get on site at all on the other computer. Pls help. Re: H1 new layout? 33Sep 22, 2010 10:42 pm homeone thirsty Im glad Im not the only one. Very annoying Which browser (incl. version no.) are you using? Internet explorer (I think 7) but will have to check. This comp is fine and Im using safari with this one. No problems at all and I can use smilies and quotes Thanks again. No didn't click on any add, just opened this website (and only this website) and had trojan alarms from my firewall/virus scanner (ESET). It may well be something innocent that my firewall picked up, but what ever it was came from opening this website. For good measure I rebooted, browsed elsewhere and as soon I came to this site the alarms started again. The browser that I use is Opera 10.62. As I said something simmilar happened on another website I use, a wordpress blog after they enabled advertising. A few days later the owner of that site applogised after he had the issue fixed with the add provider. Good to see your so trusting of Google. For futher information the threat that was reported was a "[edited by admin]" coming from this website "[edited by admin]". Since that first time (which was on 21st at about 3am AEST) I have not had the same report. Re: H1 new layout? 35Sep 23, 2010 3:52 am We are not affiliated with that third-party website. This is homeone.com.au only and quite obviously it is not host of any trojan software as your ESET correctly reported. You should probably contact the hosting company of that site, and complain, otherwise I'm sure your ESET software will relay that information back to ESET's servers automatically. Furthermore, we run ESET across all our systems. We have checked forum.homeone.com.au across 3 separate computer systems incl. a variation of browsers such as Opera, Firefox, Chrome and IE, but am unable to see the threat you are seeing, or any threat for that matter. We do acknowledge unfiltered ads via Google's ad system were pouring through the site. Filtering has been applied, as we reported earlier, and we're seeing much more highly relevant advertising than previously. If for some reason this still persists, please advise so we can help you track the source. Re: H1 new layout? 36Sep 23, 2010 4:35 am homeone We are not affiliated with that third-party website. I am 100% sure your not hosting any Trojans, but working in IT I know full well that the code in one of the adds was pointing to that website or more to the point trying to load the java app from that website. PS. Should also mention I am currently in the UK, so again no doubt google would be tailoring the adds for this region hence why it seems I am the only person to have seen and report this. As I said it happened one even but has stopped since the filters where changed. Re: H1 new layout? 37Sep 23, 2010 4:43 am Given you've access to your own ESET report, have you considered submitting it along with your complaint to the Google AdSense division. They do actually look into these matters.
