They should say where they are from, what interests they have and what they would like to take from Homeone and what they can give... before the system lets them post elsewhere. What does everyone think? Re: Should new members post an intro? 2Jan 12, 2009 9:21 am It may also pay to advise forumites if the operation "takes".....
Someones first post..... EcoClassic Hello everyone, We import & manufacture windows in uPVC, aluminium & thermally broken aluminium. We are particlarly interested in uPVC as we see this as the future of windows in Australia & NZ - as it is in USA & Europe. If possible we would like to gather some opinions on uPVC - quality, cost, availability and suitability etc. Any experiences would be particularly welcome. Thanks again, Cynthia Re: Should new members post an intro? 4Jan 12, 2009 9:24 am to_do_list It may also pay to advise forumites if the operation "takes"..... Someones first post..... Re: Should new members post an intro? 5Jan 12, 2009 9:26 am I think it's nice if someone introduces themselves, especially if they plan to be a regular on the forum (like myself).
Just for the record, I posted an intro a few days ago and I got only 1 reply Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. No excuse, but I think members look at recent posts and intro's disappear into the ether... I will always look in intros in future. Welcome Hels_n_Greg... What does everyone think? I don't think it's necessary. I think making someone post an obligatory introduction is just a waste of time. If people want to then by all means do. Some of us just want to post a question/topic and start a discussion. Personally, I don't think it's anyone's business where I'm from or what my interests are and what I want from Homeone. Some people (like myself) lurk hidden and read most posts without actually posting a reply. Others are more active and others want to just come and go.
