Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Feb 10, 2015 9:28 pm I own a propety jointly with a family member. We had planned to sell so listed it on the market. Family member has changed their mind and is interested in buying my half out (noting all relevant stamp duty issues etc). Family member has just had finance come through so I ask the agent to take it off the market. Agent has just got an offer (less than what we are after) and is pushing me to accept it. I have asked them to take the property off the market. The exclusive period with my agent has ended. The family member is obviously not a party introduced by the agent. Are there any issues that I can't see - other than a cranky agent who is pushing me to accept a low offer because they want their commission. Obviously this is a less than ideal situation! Did he present the offer to you within, or without his contract period? Read your Terms of Appointment document you signed with the agent carefully before responding her again. Just tell the agent you dont wish to sell, and make it clear you know the offer comes outside of the appointment period. He/she will then back off. The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn. Just the way it is. 1 9082 Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment?
