Am going through the open house every weekend process right now. Am unsure as to how to deal with real estate agents.
This Saturday, at one open house, I asked agent if I could have a floor plan to check room sizes. Was told that the owner preferred not to have a floor plan available. This agent also did not have a price listed. Looking at other listings from this agent, no floor plan and no price seem to be the norm for them. I like a floor plan to see if my furniture would fit in or what wall I could knock out. And I like a price to know what offer to make.
Have had another agent where the price on the internet differed greatly from the price on the day of the open house. The agent said they already had an offer so it was re advertised on the glossy brochure at this price and they didn't have time to change price on the net. But they had time to go to the printers and get the brochures done after the offer on Monday and before the open house on Saturday? Were they pulling my leg? Place was still on the market a couple of weeks later? Was there really an offer? Or an inflated price because of Sydney's hot market?
