Now the only thing to be completed is the landscaping. I received a call yesterday from my conveyancer and he told me that the settlement date might be in 6-8 weeks, but I can have the option to rent the house while waiting for the settlement date. The conveyancer was recommended by the real estate agent and is not a very nice person. So my question would be how come the vendor can ask us to rent the house when we still need to wait 6-8 weeks for settlement. I feel this is not legal and that the vendor does not have the right to do that? Anyone can please advise/explain to me about this situation as I am not very smart in these things.
