Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Jul 02, 2013 9:34 am What does it mean when they say offers from? What exactly are they expecting? I am not sure what to offer. Is there a rule of thumb for making an offer on a property that says offers from? Re: Real estate terminology 2Jul 02, 2013 7:24 pm Honestly, don't be afraid of going in lower. Particularly if it's been on the market for a while. You can only go up from there, not down. The agent should be putting all offers to the vendor regardless unless specifically instructed otherwise. 4 Beta Re: Real estate terminology 3Jul 07, 2013 5:23 pm It's difficult to tell. Some people want significantly more and the agent talks them into a lower "offers over" price. Usually they do want higher but some will take lower if theyu get a few lower offers or if they need to sell soon. I'd offer lower to see how it goes. Th agent will tell you if the vendor won't accept lower. But it never hurts to ask. |
