Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Mar 27, 2013 11:39 am Hi, Not really sure what section to put this in. I thought realestate was the best section. I have seen a beautiful acre block of vacant unused land i would love to be able to buy. Only problem is it is not for sale. I am just wondering if there is any way i can find out who owns it to see if they're interested in selling? Re: vacant block, how to know who owns it to offer? 2Mar 27, 2013 11:41 am Hmmm... maybe contact the council and ask them to forward your contact details onto the owner. I highly doubt they'd give you their details due to privacy reasons etc. Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: vacant block, how to know who owns it to offer? 3Mar 27, 2013 12:15 pm You could try to serch for the title of the block you are interested in through the land titles office. The owner's address is usually on the title. However, a title search will cost you some money. How much that is probably depends on which state/territory you are in. Re: vacant block, how to know who owns it to offer? 6Mar 30, 2013 7:33 am If you have a friend who is a conveyancer or a real estate agent they will be able to search for you. It is a really cheap search, especially with you have an account with the titles office (which RE and convreyancers will). Re: vacant block, how to know who owns it to offer? 7Apr 11, 2013 4:47 pm Find a friend/friend of a friend with an RPdata account for the state. You can search by address and get the owners contact details from when it was purchased (i.e. might not be completely up to date if it was purchased a long time ago). If it's in QLD - pm me and I can help you out. Travis Re: vacant block, how to know who owns it to offer? 8Apr 12, 2013 12:19 am You can call the council and ask for a mailing address.
