My bf and i have just bought land down the road in Cloverlea estate. Land doesnt title until september, but we are 99% on Henley! Was wondering how you have found the whole process? Re: Anybody in the range croydon 10Apr 26, 2013 7:05 pm Hi rhiles - we found them to be pretty good. A few hiccups here and there but the key here is communication. We were constantly in contact with our CSA whom missed a couple of things but nothing that delayed the entire process. Be as detailed as you can - color, door height, skirting, etc... I'm personally very anal with details my partner on the other hand is more easy going but he's becoming almost like me ever since I pointed out that Henley had the measurements wrong to our walk in wardrobe. Basically they made a mistake where one side of the wall was shorter than the other and it was suppose to be the other way around. He handles most of the project now since I've been really busy at work. So my personal advice is if you go with Henley, double and triple check everything - and I mean everything. Henley's very open to inputs during the build - we have a great site supervisor and we constantly harass him with tons of questions. Ask lots and mind even the minor details. Point things out as you go as most mistakes are easily fixed during the construction stage but not so after completion. We had very minor things like getting additional wire length for future solar panels installation and to align the height of both the timber and tile skirting. So to sum it all up, Henley's a good builder but be prepared to exercise some project management skills. Might try request him when our build comes around seeing as we are only a suburb away! |
