Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Feb 20, 2013 8:57 pm Hey all, We purchased a 'rear access' battle-axe block back in 2010 and since have been quite curious about the land price trends at The Ponds. With the latest Ridgeline release, I've noticed the prices are relatively low to what we paid back in 2010. My natural assumption is that land prices particular over time would increase (particularly in a developing suburb). Does any one have any views on this? Also I wonder if the lower prices have anything to do with the fact that Ridgeline is very close to Quakers Hill. Cheers, Sand. Re: The Ponds - Land prices & Ridgeline release (latest ) 3Jun 03, 2013 6:04 pm People often pay a premium for new houses. a "second hand" house in a nearby area is often cheaper. That could be why your house price has not risen. Sydney is moving UP!!! Check the prices of nearby areas and houses that are 10 years old. How much were they selling for when you purchased? Bet is they have gone up. Re: The Ponds - Land prices & Ridgeline release (latest ) 4Jun 05, 2013 10:11 pm mmm I wish I bought land back in 2010. I've bought mine only 12 months ago and its gone up. more than the interest + taxes + rates I've paid for keeping it. Re: The Ponds - Land prices & Ridgeline release (latest ) 5Jul 05, 2013 9:28 am They have mandated H2 class slab for the entire ridgeline release. Even worse, there is no PONDS Design compliancy guidelines required for RIDGELINE Release2 onwards. Current Land prices are around $1100 per square meter as compared to what I paid in 2010 which was in the vicinity of $700 per sq meter.
