Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Apr 15, 2008 10:42 am Last night we signed our land up to go on the market.
DH was fine, I was a bit sad. I have put a lot of time and effort into what was going to be our dream home. Still cant get rid of the 'house file' Hopefully it will sell quickly I think a bit of retail therapy will help me new doona covers for the new house should do the trick! (Adairs have a big sale on Thurs-Sun for Linen lovers card holders for those interested 25% off everything). The next big job is under way of getting this house ready for sale. Didn't realise how many kids finger marks are on the walls!! Grrr lots of cleaning ahead. Paula Re: Land on the market 2Apr 15, 2008 6:33 pm Good luck with it all, Paula!
We are going to be in same boat soon, when we put our current house up for sale, when new one ready to move into. I think whatever decision you make there is always a bit of poignancy re what you are leaving behind, or in your land case, undone. We have lived in this house for over 20 years, since soon after we were married and brought 3 children up here; although we are choosing to move on, I'm sure there will be some sadness in the goodbye as well. My parents built a new house in 2000, selling the house they had owned for around 30 years and in which we had all been brought up, new owners knocked it down and rebuilt. Went past to have a look one day and took me by surprise how emotional it felt to see "our" old house gone. It's not so much the cleaning it keeping it perfect for opens....fortunately we sold our house on the first weekend so we didn't have to many. Oh and the...."why do we still have all this cr*p for?"....it's a good time to cleanse....unfortunately they wouldn't take the kids in the hard rubbish collection...they looked inside the old fridge..... mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Land on the market 4Apr 15, 2008 7:42 pm Quote: We have lived in this house for over 20 years, since soon after we were married and brought 3 children up here; although we are choosing to move on, I'm sure there will be some sadness in the goodbye as well. Thanks Helyn, yes I will feel the same when our house goes on the market. But only 2 children and only 14 years. Lucky you for selling on the first weekend. We are going to ******** a bit and move into the new house with new beds and barstools, whilst all our furniture will be here set up like a display - no kids to mess it up, then put the house on the market. We will take it in turns to sleep here for security. Hope mine sells that quick, not for the 'keeping it perfect' side of things but for the hell of a mortgage we will have till it sells Paula Re: Land on the market 6Apr 16, 2008 7:54 pm Just had a phone call from the agent...

The funny thing is that we had PD site a house on it last year before we decided to design it ourselves, and apparently the buyers have been at PD today making sure the house they want fits. Wonder if PD remember the block?? 1 day on the market = no advertising fees Quote: Wooo Hoooo more money to go shopping with too!!!!!!!! LOL went today and bought a new Miele washing machine and dryer for the new house. I think filling the WIR will still have to wait a bit Paula Re: Land on the market 16Apr 16, 2008 9:18 pm I know!!! I was about to say the same thing - everyone put your heads together and pray for us to get some land!!!!
I nearly swayed DH to just move out to Sanctuary Lakes so we could build now in a nice new estate, he thought about it, nearly said yes, but then changed his mind.... Enjoy the cookie - have one for me!! Re: Land on the market 17Apr 16, 2008 9:24 pm Quote: Enjoy the cookie - have one for me!! I think I've had enough for everyone!!! Dont know when to stop. Quote: nearly said yes, but then changed his mind.... It's a start, just keep working on him. Paula Re: Land on the market 18Apr 16, 2008 9:33 pm I will, I can understand his logic though, a 1 and a 1/2 hour trip to and from work each day doesn't sound like alot of fun....
I'm sure the right block is going to come, I just wish it would hurry up Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6414 Need advice on the backyard plan above.
