Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Oct 17, 2011 6:49 pm Hi everyone, Our home has been on the market for 3 months and had lots of positive feedback from the many opens we have held. Despite similar houses in our price range selling in our suburb we haven't had a single offer. The number of people coming through is reducing each time (sometimes not one person through) and I am concerned that our listing is dead. The agency contract expires soon and I wonder whether taking the house off the market and starting again with a new agent would make a difference. We are about to drop the price anyway so we are thinking maybe a good time to start fresh. Would appreciate any thoughts from those who have gone through the same. Thanks in advance. Re: Too early to change agent? 2Oct 18, 2011 6:42 am Yes change agents. Get new photos. Listings do go stale. Look at why it has gone stale-If people are going through the listing probably looks OK. priced too high? If it was just price you would have had some lower offers. Presentation? What feedback have you received? If the agent is any good they should have provided the comments from prospective purchases each week. What are the things that people don't like? If they are things you can fix then try to do it. I see you've had positive feedback but there must be some negative otherwise why no offers. good luck. It's not fun selling houses that's for sure. Especially if it's your PPOR. Before you rip it up, if you can in the grout lines, drill some holes and pour/inject techgrip by sika. I have used it to bond mdf to timber, but in the process it dripped… 1 4284 Not much in this responce. My suggestion is, what are you looking to build and why. This will all be impacted by the local councils planning scheme. Familiarise yourself… 6 5840 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35305 |
