Hi...
We found a buyer for our house... agreed on a price an entered into a cooling off period.
it ends this wed. For the buyer of our house they have had to extend their cooling off period as their buyer still is not sorted.. that mean that on their home its a 16 business day cooling off period... does this sound fishy. They were supposed to be waiting for their buyers valuation to come back so they can exchange.. but it does not seem to be happening within the time frames... is this normal.. they now want to extend our cooling off to next monday.. so 3 extra business days...
also our buyers need to use their deposit on their home to use to exchange on ours.. providing of course theirs goes through... they want to exchange on 33500 when our 10% exchange amount is 52000 would you be happy to take almost 20k less... I would assume that if you pay that much money you will settle on a house a few weeks later... would you worry about this?
Also they want to reduce the interest penalty if settlement goes over from 10% to 8%... ..
am I worrying too much...is this normal atm???
