Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Jul 22, 2010 5:06 pm Seeing as we were discussing this in another thread, I thought I'd post some pics I found today, just on my normal property search... These places are by no means ugly or unappealing, but the photos taken confuse me for various reasons. 1. This one, WHY would the agent leave the shampoos and things literally piled up in the shower and then include them in the PHOTO!? Just MOVE them, you know? It's a nice bathroom! This one's ok, not the neatest of rooms, but why leave the pair of shoes there (to the left of the photo)?? lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 3. Why not move the box of tissues and the jacket on the back of the chair? lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 4. This isn't particularly bad, but I was interested to see that something like this is how I'd look at my own kitchen and think it's really neat, whereas to an outsider, it looks kinda busy. It's interesting to me that we get so used to seeing our own stuff where it is, that to completely clear it ALL away to us looks really weird and empty, whereas to a prospective buyer, it looks normal to see no personal items. This one, ignoring the un-changeable toothpaste green desk, why would you leave that powerboard in full view, and why not straighten that under-chair mat thing? Re: Bad real estate property listing photos! 4Jul 22, 2010 6:01 pm I know! And I didn't even post any of the countless too-dark photos I came across!! It's like, if it's that dark, come back later when it's a brighter day, or at least use enhancement on computer-based photo editing software!! lol How the hell did I become a senior member!? Re: Bad real estate property listing photos! 5Jul 22, 2010 11:49 pm And why advertise this house as having a double lock up garage, when it isn't even functional as a garage??? http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i60/Hels-b/Funnies/pic19779.jpg Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Re: Bad real estate property listing photos! 6Jul 22, 2010 11:55 pm It's tricky when you're taking photos of a house with tenants in it. When the owners are living there they are more than happy to move anything you like, but when they are tenants they don't seem to care as much about what the place looks like. You can't just go moving things around when they belong to tenants - thus the tissues or the shoes. Hels - your pic is classic!! Re: Bad real estate property listing photos! 11Jul 23, 2010 8:40 am Hels, that first photo, who would build a garage you could not use for a car. My thought was it may of been cheaper to have the garage as an extra room than have built in the house. I don't think the agents should sell it with a garage anyway the second photo, how revolting, the third photo is funny. Re: Bad real estate property listing photos! 13Jul 23, 2010 5:10 pm No I just googled them for a bit of fun Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. If I were the agent I'd just leave right then, probably throwing up on the way out. Why is there TOILET PAPER all over the seat!? lol How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! The guy is anal to the point of taking nearly everything out of the room for photos, to my disgust! Sometimes I wounder if he going to take the furniture out as well. I have heaps I've gone "why?" and shook my head. My pet hate is the toilet seat up when they take photos.
