Browse Forums Real Estate 1 Jul 27, 2007 6:46 pm Hey all,
People talk about getting to know the area you are building in a lot but opportunities like this don't come along very often! http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=o&id=104077104&f=0&p=10&t=res&ty=&fmt=&header=&c=91393060&s=vic&tm=1185524698 This house is literally 2 minutes drive from our house and goes up for auction at 11:00 tomorrow morning. Guess where we will be? Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 2Jul 27, 2007 7:17 pm Gosh - their interior decorating leaves a lot to be desired - other than the furniture - the house looks great. Though all that marbled granite in the kitchen is not my style.
A tip I got off Oprah that has always stuck with me about arranging furniture - putting all your furniture up against the walls makes it look like it's under arrest! Guess where we will be? I guess you will be bidding for this one because it's got eaves? If I write "I" please read "We"! Be good. Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 4Jul 28, 2007 8:19 am How good do the eaves look!! Wow! Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 6Jul 28, 2007 12:00 pm Passed In at $565,000 with a reserve of approximately $570,000.
I will look in the paper tomorrow for the result! Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 7Jul 28, 2007 12:11 pm It would have sold for $550,000 without eaves. Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 9Jul 28, 2007 1:15 pm Ahh!
In 10 years when you guys are up on your ladders cleaning out the birdnests and repainting you eaves I'll be sitting back sipping a nice refreshing drink and thinking jeez I am so glad we dont have eaves.... Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 10Jul 28, 2007 3:42 pm Wow only a reserve of $570K and it didn't sell....that's so cheap for a 2 storey.....I can't believe it!
You wouldn't get anything like that in Perth for that money Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 11Jul 28, 2007 4:36 pm Perthgirl,
You would need to compare the prices to suburbs like: Armadale Swan View Darlington. Rowville is about 25 klms from the centre of melbourne. The above suburbs seem to be about the same distance away Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 12Jul 29, 2007 10:28 pm Cookiemonster How good do the eaves look!! Wow! Hi Mark, Have a look at your blog, how comes there's no eaves in your house design either?? Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 13Jul 30, 2007 7:12 am ahuang Hi Mark, Have a look at your blog, how comes there's no eaves in your house design either?? Because the initial picture I grabbed from the Clarendon site didn't have eaves and I couldn't be arsed drawing them in. My house WILL have eaves. Fear not! Did the house eventually sell Matt? Eimaj Re: Carlisle Homes - Bordeaux 40 - Up for Auction 28th July 2007 15Sep 05, 2007 6:57 pm eimaj,
Rowville is definatley 25klms from the city. Lysterfield is 29 and Rowville is closer than that. It might range from 25 - 28 perhaps....its a big suburb! The house sold after auction i believe.
