Whilst we haven't yet had the use of an inspection service, we do have 1 lined up for when we eventually purchase (why is it so hard to negotiate a price with some vendors?). They say the building inspection and pest inspection will take 2.5 to 3 hours and are happy to have us come on site near the end to go through everything, ask questions, etc. I hope they will also be able to give us a price guide to reticfy any problems they find. Not sure about posting links on here so I will pm you. From speaking with some of the inspection companies, I would say get an actual licensed builder to do the inspection and report.
