My friend bought a house 3 months ago, still on expensive wireless internet. Ports for ADSL are not available, forget about ADSL2. Does anyone from this area has ADSL? Re: Williams Landings, Vic - buying a Land 10Jan 15, 2009 12:06 am Yep we bought at williams landing, we went down and had a look at their land and plans for LONG term not just short term. They have design standards that we found to be much greater than others in the area and its a fantastic location for both of us. Buses, trains, direct freeway access, its own incorperated town centre, parks, gardens, etc. the list goes on. I will agree land prices are a tad high. It all comes down to personal preference in the end though. Re: Williams Landings, Vic - buying a Land 11Jan 21, 2009 6:22 am We have purchased land in the estate next to Williams Landing (Wyndham Waters), which I may add, is still going to be part of the suburb Williams Landing and we have purchased a block that has an 18mt frontage with 31mt length for $150k. The price of the land has already increased to around $185k and we have not built yet! We are on Forsyth Rd side which to us is just great as we have easy access to the freeway.
We currently rent in Trugganina while waiting to build and we were so lucky to pick up ADSL connection (adsl 1 though) around 4 months ago through iinet. We had ADSL in Point Cook but when we moved Telstra told us we could not get ADSL in the new area. We waited 6 months then contacted them again, again they said no. We then went to iinet and they said yep and got us connected 10 days later. Maybe we were just lucky as the Laverton exchange must have released some more lines just at that time. We are not complaining and will hopefully take that connection with us when we finish building at the end of this year or early next. Cheers, Lee Re: Williams Landings, Vic - buying a Land 12Feb 02, 2009 4:29 pm I have brought in williams landing swanton ave. I had my eye on the estate for a while as did many people I suspect what is planned there I think everyone will agree is nothing short of amazing. An estate with its own post code (incuding WW obviously but is only a smaller corner of what is planned) We paid 206k for 592sqm I was aprihensive at first however that is what their getting for the same size blocks across the road at point cook. Its also worth mentioning all land there is all but sold except for a few blocks so if your worried about the blocks value it seems the market has said that these prices are acceptable. I also believe it will give this estate a sense of prestige and ensure that those who buy blocks there will build big nice homes. WW will be right next door and I think we will drive up their values however there is a massive 3 metre high fence that separates the two estate and no plans to link them. This means anyone who lives in WW will have to drive around to get to williams landing adding an amount of time to access the inferstructure avilable Re: Williams Landings, Vic - buying a Land 13Mar 09, 2009 7:17 am octain I have brought in williams landing swanton ave. They said there will be no fence. I selfishly hope that is right but who knows ..... I use the Point Cook Town Centre at the moment as it is so close and until WL is completed I will continue to do so as it is so close to Forsyth Rd area. If a fence goes up as you suggest then I will continue using Point Cook TC. Cheers, Lee Re: Williams Landings, Vic - buying a Land 14May 13, 2009 2:18 pm Regarding ADSL availability, there's a long thread about this on our forum: http://www.wyndhamwaters.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=28&func=view&catid=8&id=784 For full disclosure, I run the residents website and operate the wireless network on the estate to give our neighbours another alternative if they can't get ADSL. Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers.
