We've been slowly making progress.
We had an issue with the bank's valuation coming in low so we had to sort that out. And then Christmas.
But we've got our formal approval and are proceeding to settlement.

Re: The Lincoln - Homebuyers (formerly The Whitby - Commodor 22Jan 17, 2021 12:06 pm Wish I read this post a few months ago! We are building the Whitby with Commodore Homes and it has just been a complete balls up from the get go but we in too deep now to pull out! Re: The Lincoln - Homebuyers (formerly The Whitby - Commodor 23Jan 29, 2021 12:39 pm Thats a shame you experienced similar. I hope it gets better as the demand curve smooths out, it really is a lovely design! Update for this project: Prestart now complete. We have spent months knowing basically what we wanted to do for prestart with both different builds, our preferences didn't change between builders we just needed to tweak some things. Prestart was a breeze and we didn't have too many surprises with each other's preferences on obscure things or last minute decisions based on suggestions by our prestart coordinator so that was great. So with that locked in we are all set for permits to be submitted and then we can start building. I haven't been to the block in about 2 or 3 weeks and I went down to see that someone's pad has already been laid and there have been obvious earthworks for our direct neighbor, as well as a couple of other lots in the release, so everyone is gearing up to get going! Re: The Lincoln - Homebuyers (formerly The Whitby - Commodor 24Feb 25, 2021 6:54 pm Feb Update: Building permit was approved early in the month and now siteworks are done; there are a few slabs that have gone down in our little section of the estate though we're still waiting for ours. Not much you can do but wait when there is a building boom occurring! Re: The Lincoln - Homebuyers (formerly The Whitby - Commodor 25Apr 06, 2021 4:19 pm Slab went down in the first week of last month, but there is quite the delay on bricks, with them due at the end of *this* month. Hoping bricks are the biggest delay we have, or we won't be likely to make it into the house until next year. Things are looking good though. Lots more slabs in the estate and even two houses have their walls up. The rest of us are all just blank slabs and waiting (not so) patiently. Re: The Lincoln - Homebuyers (formerly The Whitby - Commodor 26Apr 23, 2021 12:12 pm Oh I realised I never posted any photos, which is really all anyone really cares about, right? Still waiting on bricks, but we've been told the site will commence loading this month; our neighbors (same builder) have theirs already so hoping we'll be very soon. So time for a few photos!
