Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 06, 2020 9:04 am Those of you with the 3/4-in-1 bathroom exhaust fan units, do you find them to be efficient(especially with steam extraction)? If yes, what model do you have? Our standard inclusion is an externally ducted exhaust fan over the shower but I was advised to get one of these units instead. Thoughts? Re: 3 in 1 Exhaust fans in bathrooms vs standard exhaust 2Aug 06, 2020 10:30 am We have HPM 3 in 1's in both bathrooms. 1. Do they efficiently extract steam? Yes most certainly. 2. Are the heat lamps effective? No, not really. If you have the heat lamps on without the fan then you'll get the effect but that's not recommended so any heat generated by the lamps generally goes straight out through the exhaust. We did initially use the heat lamps to warm the bathroom without the fan being on - until I noticed that the plastic close to the lamps was scorching and melting. We now have a wall mounted ceramic heater fitted. 3. Is the single light globe in the middle of the 3 in 1 sufficient for bathroom lighting? No, you'll need additional lighting above your vanity. Thank you so much. In that case, I am probably better off with the standard exhaust and having downlights. I hadn't thought much about heating but I am hoping its something I can address later if needed. Re: 3 in 1 Exhaust fans in bathrooms vs standard exhaust 4Aug 06, 2020 10:41 am Althom 3.
