Browse Forums General Discussion Re: structural steel and corrosion 5Jul 19, 2020 11:27 pm Doozer1905 Its definitely wrong, I would put something in writing to them ASAP that it doesn't comply as per the National Construction Code yep already did that once, sent them the table as i attached in the orignal post and all of the bigger structural steel was pulled out (after initially refusing before i sent the NCC table) and sent for dipping. but they said they werent going to do the welded z bracings as they were going to paint in accordance. the annoying thing is, when they did this (sent bigger steel beams for dipping), it stopped the job for a month, all the structural timber (tillings smart beams) and battens and ply bracing just sat on the ground for a month and got rained on and then covered in more salt for a month. all the smart beams were just left laying on their sides uncovered. i had to go to site and cover them all up myself. sent them an email about it with photos but no response. now the Z bracings i mentioned in this post are built in dunno how they would get them out to do them properly (if that is what is required). dunno why wen they sent the other 4 tonne of steel back for dipping they just didnt do these z bracing supports too. Hi I am wanting some opinions about the build of a steel shed I am going to get one about 4.5 x 2.5 m steel shed and the height will be about 2.3-2.4m high The one I am… 0 14442 Assuming you've modelled the TB8, TB10, TB12, TB2 & J1 joists/LVLs there, it appears as per drawing to me. There maybe should be an additional J1 between TB10 and T12 if… 3 31816 |
