We are building new home within 100/200m of a breaking surf beach on the sunshine coast. The wind is always onshore and covers everything in salt. We have forked out big $$ to the builder to ensure everything is coastal rated - and paid an extra $3000 into our contract to ensure that all screws / fixings / nails that are used on site are at a minimum galvanized. The roof, gutters, and flashing are all colorbond ultra. I am surprised to see that the gutter brackets used are just ordinary brackets. I thought they should have at least been powder coated of something? Is there such a thing as a heavy duty coastal rated bracket suited for these coastal locations?
