Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 14, 2020 6:12 am We are needing to replace a very old deck that is no longer compliant and is unsafe. We need to remove the old deck and we would like to make it a bit bigger - new size approx 5.6 x 7.4 with some steps. We would like to use modwood and have a steel subframe and posts. This would be 4.5 metres off the ground at the highest point. We require new footings and would like to use glass for balustrade (approximately 22 metres). I’ll be getting a few quotes- just wondering if any builders would take a stab in the dark at what this might cost roughly cost us? Just as info please - pic of original deck attached [img:3lgz1iff]https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/80863_1594667443.jpeg[/img:3lgz1iff] Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 1290 Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
