Increasing Ceiling height of First Floor

I have a double storey design with GF ceiling height 2.59 and FF ceiling height 2.44. How much it would cost to increase the FF ceiling height from 2.44 to 2.59 ? Approx .. Someone is saying that would require a redesign for this as I wonder why? Please show some light in this space. Thanks

why not just ask your builder?

As a way of comparison I was charged 8.8k for a double storey to increase to 2735 GR and 2585 FF. 20 sqs ground floor area and 16 sqs first floor.

Thanks and it gives me a picture. I have a middleman working for my custom design, that's why I could not get a concrete answer.
