As my house is sitting slightly higher than my neighbor and I still have to do perimeter paving for my house and it looks like on my side pavers will touch the metal part of the fence and this is where the need to raise height of the overall structure has come into play. My neighbor's house is sitting slightly lower than mine. The storm water pipes from the sump still has to be laid to discharge the water to the street. My paving handyman is suggesting to run drainage grates alongside the fence and connect it to the underground tank which will be using the sump system.. this will save me a few thousand dollars as otherwise i was thinking to raise the existing retaining and fence height. Just want to check if using the drainage grates along side the fence is a viable option? is there any chance of rainwater spilling over to neighbors property? Plus is there a limit on the paving offset of 75mm from slab level? can i go for more offset may be 90-100mm for this offset? will this still be winthin the standards?
