Hybrid flooring and skirtings removed completely

Hi... I know there are many posts about tacking the skirtings and laminate floorings... But this time my painter has asked me if he can detach the skirtings, paint them and not to tack them back... He is saying that even with tacking once they will be removed for laminates there are chances that there might be some minor damages to the walls and to skirtings... Is it correct?

And to fix the skirtings after flooring is done ..

Or should I just ask to tack them back..

Any advice please.

Thanks
No, remove them , get the flooring guys in then get a chippy to re-attach them.
