Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 27, 2019 10:57 am Hi, I have recently decided to build a land and home package with Oracle Platinum Homes in the Hunter Valley. I have been through the Tendor process and have already put down my land deposit. I have been asked to sign the building contract, however I was just told that my land will not be registered until June (originally told February). I was wondering if anyone could help me out with knowing if I should be paying and signing the builder contract before the land is registered? Thankyou 😊 Re: Building Contract Help 3Jan 26, 2020 7:00 pm JanePart Hi Katie - how did you go with this? Are you still building with Oracle? We are currently waiting for council approval for our oracle home so interested to hear how things are progressing for you. Hi, yes I did! Just waiting for my land to be registered. What plan did you decide to build? Re: Building Contract Help 4Feb 14, 2020 2:00 pm Sorry Katie - I didn't see your reply for some reason. We are building the Terrigal home (but I can't see the plan available anymore).... Feel's like we have been in council forever but hopefully will get it approved finally in the next couple of weeks. I will be keen to hear how things track for you. Re: Building Contract Help 6Jun 30, 2020 2:31 am Now that the month of June is over, have you completed your registration? Re: Building Contract Help 7Jun 30, 2020 10:17 pm kumar2015 Hi JanePart, how did you go with Council approval. I have a build contract from Oracle. Just want to hear from you all, before I sign with them. How are they working, in terms of moving things? Hi Kumar, We had a long delay in council. Once approval finalised about 4 weeks to start on site. We finally started last week and it’s been a hive of activity on site since. Early days yet but we’re impressed with them so far. You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments? pleas list them 1 17202 I've decided, after a period of confusion (my building broker told me it's probably not worth it to use a lawyer, but others have said it is a must) that I definitely will… 7 28265 |
