hi we are looking into extending our home by 80sqm
existing house is brick veneer
we are deciding between brick veneer or blue board for the extension and have few questions
1) approx what will be cost difference between two for a 80sqm build?
2)do we need to render blueboard before some sort of textured paint can be applied?
3) how reliable and strong is blueboard? can it break if hit by a cricket ball in backyard
my preference is brick veneer however if the cost is too high than we might have to settle for blueboard

Had a home I built in the 90s made 80% of blue board and it was strong, never once did a hole get put into it,but from memory almost no difference in price with render applied, our reason was home was lots lighter and easier to build twists and turns.
