Re: Convert old Dine / Lounge 11Jun 21, 2020 3:47 pm amilelka I agree, I think it would be easier to convert the lounge dining into a second master bedroom with Walk in robe and small ensuite if you can afford it. It would be a nice idea, but too costly, I would guess $20k and I wouldn't recover the cost of the renovation, as the house was bought at the peak of market. I guess if I was staying here for 10 years it may be worthwhile. Re: Convert old Dine / Lounge 13Jun 22, 2020 7:10 pm amilelka In that case a simple stud wall between the study and guest bedroom gives you a 3x2 plus study house. Thanks amilelka, that was my original idea, i just didn't like the Bedroom at the front with no bathroom, but I think this is how I will end up going, then the new owners can either make it a bedroom or second living area, and i am not outlaying big dollars on alterations. consider putting in wall WC instead of robe in the same bedroom, then it might be doable to hook up to the existing piping. 4 6627 First time building 2 storey home in NSW.
