Tips for 1st new home building

Hi All,

I have been reading through the forums on this websites as part of my homework to get to know the processes, terms, secret tips from experiences, stages of building a new home, location considerations, choosing a builder, choosing a land (even if it is slope) etc because I am on the verge of entering the process of building my 1st new home.

Please could you all be able to guide me through the exact process / stages of building a new home requires to go though? It may sound as a pre-mature question to read, but I have been getting information from all directions and in vast and scattered manner. Hence would love to know about the processes in stages and steps..

This is a great reference for starting out.

The irony is that there are some great sources of knowledge like this on the forum, yet you go and look at the new builds and rarely do they follow the same principles.
