I have decided to go with a concrete foundation as the builders will have a truck on site to pour the extension slab already. Should I box in the foundation using plywood and pegs or should I just pour the concrete in and level it on the day? Diagram of my wall attached. Also, it is always a good practice to use vapor retarder plastic to cover your trench before pouring concrete in. Re: Retaining Wall Foundation 3May 28, 2020 12:51 pm If you dig out the trench accurately and it's clay then all you need is a few pegs in for the correct level for the top of the footing.
