Did you decide on a floorplan / builder etc?? π Just the floor plan with Momu but our sale consultant is ignoring all my queries and calls and emails if I ever wanted to changed or add something. Not happy with them so far. Re: HGWA Alkimos 27Jun 25, 2020 11:38 pm Morris45 KodaCujo Morris45 Yay congratulations on slab How's your build going Morris? Not happy with them so far. Wow really! That's so dissapointing to hear. If it were me I'd tell them to jam it and use someone else! If you do decide to switch builders, our sales consultant at HGWA has been bloody amazing from day dot. I can put you in touch with him if you'd like! Even though we are now enquiring about the possibility of ripping up our contract and signing a new one to try and access that $45k government grant!!! Sucks to have missed out by a matter of weeks π±π especially when were putting $200k of our own money into it! Fingers crossed for you trying to get the grants! On the news web it states "enter into a building contract between June 4, 2020 and December 31, 2020". But to be honest you are lucky you got all the paperwork sorted before these grants were announced. We have just started with HGWA and everything is super duper slow! I am assuming the grants putting major impact on processing times but how long did it take from the very beginning to slab down for you? Wouldn't have minded getting them and waiting a bit to be honest π Umm from very start until slab down it was approx 10 months, but we had a couple of hold ups from our end also. Been nearly 2 months for us, still waiting on building contracts. Just trying to see how long its going to be! Re: HGWA Alkimos 32Jul 06, 2020 8:54 pm KodaCujo It's all worth it in the end π which design did you sign up for? π [img]https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/96517_1594032830.jpghttps://forum.homeone.com.au/u/96517_1594032830.jpg[/img Yeah deffinately! In relocation and reconfigure layout charge in the quotation? We moved things around and made our house slightly wider but deleted a room and the charge is very expensive. Doesnβt seem right to me Thanks Re: HGWA Alkimos 35Jul 16, 2020 12:34 am Courtney22 J_RIDGEY98 KodaCujo It's all worth it in the end π which design did you sign up for? π [img]https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/96517_1594032830.jpg[/img Yeah deffinately! Doesnβt seem right to me Thanks Hi Courtney, We deffinately had to pay for the changes we made as theyre structural changes to the home, we also deleted a room, relocation and made some rooms bigger like you. All the changes have come to nearly 11K Re: HGWA Alkimos 36Jul 16, 2020 12:47 pm Courtney22 J_RIDGEY98 KodaCujo It's all worth it in the end π which design did you sign up for? π [img]https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/96517_1594032830.jpg[/img Yeah deffinately! Doesnβt seem right to me Thanks We didn't pay for any changes to our place, because it's pretty much the same, just flipped the front of it to suit the block better. We actually got a credit for changing the study into a workshop, as they don't have to do floors, plaster, paint etc etc. Hope this helps π Re: HGWA Alkimos 38Aug 07, 2020 2:38 am Thanks Ellala π Yeah we are going to have one inspect once the roof frames up and then again at PCI.. just incase! Bricks have started last week.. will post a pic when there's something to look at π€£π What design etc did you guys go with? Congrats btw π Re: HGWA Alkimos 39Aug 07, 2020 11:36 am Hey KodaCujo - congratulations on the slab. We were so close to signing up with HGWA, our sales rep was great. It was neck and neck between HGWA and Impressions. All the best with your build. We've had a couple of independent inspections so far and a few things were identified and fixed by the builder. Nothing major but there were things that we wouldn't even know that its not right. Glad we had the inspections done.
