Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 10, 2020 10:12 am Hello all, I'm based in Victoria and currently living in a home which I've built - around 3.5 years now. For the longest time one sections of my upstairs bedrooms never had any heating. I've always thought that it will take time to heat up the house, over time...the heating came from the ground floor to heat up. Out of curiosity, today I climbed up the roof and saw this. There was hot air blowing out from the main vent, the heater was definitely working and the roof was all nicely heated up. No wander the upstairs rooms has not had any heating since. Now I could fix this, but there is a flap there in the middle of the cylinder which has a wired motor, I'm assuming this controls the vent air and this has been stuck shut. I remember us paying extra for these zoning options. I am in Victoria and I don't know about you, when it comes to faults after handover, these discussions with the builder will be tough as usual. My questions is, whether can this be considered as "structural" faults in the house? Would the builder blame this on Braemer as I assume they are the guys that fixed the vent. What are my options besides hiring someone to fix it? Thank you for your time and responses. Let them know the rooms upstairs aren't heating and you dont know why. You never went into the roof I'd like to think they would fix it under warranty, or the subcontractor would. Re: Ducted Gas Heating vent - included in builders warranty? 3May 11, 2020 10:56 am Thanks for your reply. I dread thinking about calling the builders. Climbed into the roof and fixed it myself. Now the heating is back to normal. In fact better than the "normal". How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 4027 hey there! π so, itβs kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 18680 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house. Does this placement sound reasonable to you? Also, I plan to have 6 zones I think. Living room… 0 0 |
