Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 30, 2008 10:02 am I just sent off an email for a flat pack laundry linen cupboard (only two shelves up the top as it is to store my ironing board, mop etc) and a small overhead cupboard with a vinyl wrap gloss white finish and I got a quote of $2,100 with freight - OMG!!
I know I live in WA but geeze! So has anyone brought a flatpack recently and can recommend who they used as $2,100 for a cupboard is so not in the budget Trying to make it mine! Re: Where to get flat packs? 2Sep 30, 2008 10:05 am Hi Sassy,
go to Bunnings they sell all sorts of flat packs from kitchens to laundry cupboards If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it. W.C. I've been to Ikea & Bunnings and neither have what I want Trying to make it mine! Ikea is definatly NOT made this way. To supply only delivered to perth via road transport. Made to exactly the sizes you require Both cupboards with two doors each in gloss finish. You did not mention any routering on the face of the doors, so this price is for edge treatment only I'm assuming a matching flat end panel on each cupboard for the moment Matching gloss kicker to tall cupboard $1813 inc GST Not much cheaper than the original quote but transport puts a bit of dent in the price, as does gloss doors Best Price Wardrobes Sliding door robes | Walk in robes Deco panel | Mirror | Melamine 26 to 28 Cottage lane Hackham M: 0402 927 376 http://www.bestpricewardrobes.com.au Trade welcome Re: Where to get flat packs? 7Oct 03, 2008 11:49 am Kevin, can you guys make stuff that looks like this:
http://www.garagecabinetsonline.com/RTA ... arBox.html Maybe some cabinets with diamond plate attached to the doors and drawers? That would be cool:) I need to outfit my garage at some stage and Iove these. Have not seen anything really like it in Australia. I know the cabinet pictured is metal, but it would be cool to have something that looks like that. Perhaps in a red laminate carcass with diamond plate on the door? Greg Yews it probally could be done. I have seen a checkerplate laminate that could be stuck onto melamine doors. There might also be a checkerplate melamine product available to cut into doors and panels Depending on how heavy duty you wanted it to be as to wether melamine or steel would suit better There is a place in Adelaide on South road making metal checkerplate tool boxes and trailers, so garage cupboards are probally possible as well I would imagine metal checkerplate would be pricey, but it ooks nice and would be very robust if made corectly Best Price Wardrobes Sliding door robes | Walk in robes Deco panel | Mirror | Melamine 26 to 28 Cottage lane Hackham M: 0402 927 376 http://www.bestpricewardrobes.com.au Trade welcome Re: Where to get flat packs? 9Oct 03, 2008 6:28 pm In Queensland we have a company called "Barry's" who supplies a lot of flatpack cupboards at very reasonable prices. I haven't bought anything off them for years; the last thing I remember buying was a pantry cupboard, but I don't remember it more than a few hundred $. I had a quick look at their website, but it seems as though they don't have stores outside Qld - so this post probably doesn't help you. You might be able to contact them and enquire about shipping over to WA?
